Emma A. Smith (1850-1946) was a genealogist and the final executor of the Samuel J. Tilden estate. The collection contains her notes and correspondence relating to genealogical research into the Nathaniel Tilden family of Scituate, Massachusetts, and other allied New England families including the Tuthill, Wheadon, and Youngs families.
